Goals and Accompanying Reform Strategy
In Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS), our bold vision is that at least 85% of our students will graduate from high school, and at least 80% of our graduates will pursue and complete some form of post-secondary education. By any measure and in most contexts, these goals are highly aspirational, and we know that they cannot be reached through small and incremental changes. They require big thinking, courageous leadership, first-rate management, a coordinated effort, and some catalytic event or galvanizing proposition.
