Be part of the transformation.
The Promise has been changing lives since 2008 and will continue well into the next decade. We’re nearing a tipping point of generational transformation; early Promise scholars are now becoming parents, homeowners, entrepreneurs, CEOs and part of a diverse, skilled workforce.
Meet Promise Alumnus, James.
IRA Donors – The Pittsburgh Promise is a charitable organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), and further classified as a Type 1 supporting organization of The Pittsburgh Foundation under IRS Section 509(a)(3).
Due to this subclassification, an IRA gift to The Pittsburgh Promise will not qualify as a charitable distribution. However, despite this nuance in the tax law, IRA gifts will qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. You may wish to consult with your tax advisor or IRA administrator regarding the proper tax treatment of your gift.
Whether $5 or $5 million, your gifts make a difference. Please join us by investing or re-investing.
