The Pittsburgh Promise is a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity and is eligible to receive gifts through IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs). If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a direct transfer from your IRA to The Pittsburgh Promise, which may satisfy your required minimum distribution and reduce your taxable income. This is a simple and impactful way to invest in Pittsburgh’s students.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) The Pittsburgh Promise is eligible to receive grants from donor-advised funds. If you have a DAF account, you can recommend a grant to The Pittsburgh Promise and help us continue our mission of expanding educational opportunities and strengthening our community.
Keepers of The Promise support and promote the work of The Promise by increasing visibility and awareness, developing and deepening friendships with donors, and assisting in supporting fundraising efforts.
From inspiring galas to intimate community gatherings, our events create space for supporters to experience The Promise mission firsthand. Join us to celebrate students, connect with our work, and help fuel opportunities for Pittsburgh’s future.
Our alumni are a diverse group, spanning experiences from entry level to seasoned professional. The Pittsburgh Promise Alumni Association (PPAA) is a great way for alumni to connect with their peers, network, have access to professional development opportunities, job postings, and our alumni business list!
